Trouw Nutrition is hiring… we are looking to hire a Senior Poultry Nutritionist to support our team in Manitoba.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a senior role. Your extensive expertise is essential in supporting R&D and validation site initiatives for the West Region. Conduct advanced simulations using internal models for poultry. Collect and analyze technical farm information to facilitate benchmarking. Manage and regularly update ingredients and rations for customers who mix feed on their own farms.
- Innovate and Translate: Convert cutting-edge research and practical experiences into our animal feed portfolio.
- Expert Support: Provide invaluable nutrition expertise to marketing, technical consulting, and sales teams.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor feed formulations to ensure they meet top-tier quality performance and animal health standards.
- Product Development: Introduce new food concepts and contribute to product innovation.
- Knowledge Transfer: Support the sales team with technical know-how, training, and customer meetings.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work with various departments (operations, procurement, pricing, QA/QC, sales, formulation) to ensure seamless integration and updates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You hold a BSc in Animal Science, and an MSc in Animal Nutrition is preferred. Eligibility for membership to the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists (MIA) or membership in another recognized professional Agrology association is highly advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of poultry nutrition, with a proven ability to provide valuable advice to producers, is essential.
- Strong independent work capabilities while being an active team player. Exceptional communication skills will enable you to provide technical and sales support to producers effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, excel at managing short deadlines, and prioritize tasks based on importance, urgency, and risk.
- Proven strength in translating technical information into easily understandable terms.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning and embracing new technologies and innovations. Your meticulous attention to detail and methodical work habits set you apart.
- Openness to occasional travel within the Region and out of province.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Experience with formulation software such as Brill is a valuable asset.
