Summary
Are you a qualified nurse who enjoys having the time to care for your patients? Are you able build trust with your patients in a short period of time? We have an exciting opportunity for a strong and empathetic registered nurse to join our Day Surgery team as a Staff Nurse. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, managing a busy day surgery list for the whole of the patient journey from admission to discharge. This role is ideally suited to an NMC registered staff nurse with post registration clinical experience in Surgical Nursing who is passionate about delivering healthcare at its very best. This role is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, over 3 days between Monday and Saturday. Shifts will be 07:00 – 2000.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse you will: Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient needs. Always demonstrate good clinical practice and be accountable for your own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct. Support team members and act as role model, promoting a learning environment. Maintain accurate records of patient care. Ensure that own professional development is maintained and enhanced.
Person Specification:
Essential Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN. Have post-registration clinical experience. Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application. Be able to evidence of continuous professional development and its application. Desirable Have a post graduate qualification in the relevant specialty. Have experience in Surgical Nursing.
